FAQ: Canada Post Strike & Your Vitamart Orders

Due to the Canada Post strike, we want to reassure you that Vitamart orders will continue to ship without interruption using alternate carriers.

Please note: PO Boxes and rural addresses must be updated to an alternate address during this time to avoid delays.

📦 Who is Vitamart shipping with during the strike?

• We are using several reliable non-Canada Post carriers that have been tested extensively.
• Simply choose Express flat rate or Express free shipping at checkout—your order will ship quickly and reliably.

📮 Can I still ship to a PO Box or rural address?

• No, unfortunately not during the strike.
• Canada Post is the only service that can deliver to PO Boxes and some rural locations.
• Please update your address to a CIVIC address (home, business, friend/family member’s address) for uninterrupted delivery.

✅ How to update your address:

1. Log into your Vitamart account
2. Click the My Account tab
3. Select Saved Addresses
4. Add your new civic address and click Add Address
5. Double-check that the new address appears at checkout

📦 What happens if my order was already shipped with Canada Post?

• If your tracking number is not from Canada Post (e.g., a RIVO link), your package is on its way and unaffected.
• If your package was shipped via Canada Post, it will be delayed until the strike ends.
• Canada Post will deliver all held packages in first-in, first-out order once operations resume.

⏳ Will there be any delays?

• No delays if your package is shipped with our alternate carriers.
• If using Canada Post (e.g., PO Boxes), expect significant delays due to backlog once the strike ends.

⏱️ How fast will I receive my package?

• Delivery speeds have been the same and even faster than Canada Post, with some orders arriving within days, including weekends.

💵 Are there any extra charges for the non-Canada Post shipping method?

• No additional fees.
  • Free shipping on Canadian orders over $79
  • $9.95 flat rate for orders under $79
