1. Step 2a.1: Tilt patient's head 70°. Insert the swab at least 0.5 inches inside the nostril (nares) until mild resistance was encountered at the middle turbinate.
2. Step 2a.2: Using a circular motion, the nasal orifice should be swabbed for a minimum of five seconds.
3. Step 2a.3: Compress the nostril with the fingers to trap the swab tip and rotate the tip for a minimum of five seconds.
4. Step 2a.4 Repeat steps for the other nostril.
5. Step 2b: Tilt patient's head 70°. Insert the swab into the nostril parallel to the palate, and gently push the swab into the posterior nasopharynx. Rotate against the nasal wall to ensure the swab contains cells and mucus.
6. Step 3: Insert the swab into the extraction tube. Mix well and squeeze the swab 10-15 times. After waiting 2 minutes, twist
   the swab against the inner wall as you remove it, trying to release as much liquid as you can while removing.
7. Step 4:Insert the nozzle into the sample extraction tube.
