      Douglas Laboratories Relora-Plex is a unique proprietary blend of two herbal extracts, Magnolia and Phellodendron, combined with B vitamins designed to support normal mental functioning during stress. Magnolia officinalis is derived from a tree that grows in the mountains of China‚ and it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine as a mild anti-anxiety remedy. Meanwhile‚ Phellodendron amurense (or the Amur cork tree) is native to Japan‚ Korea‚ and parts of China; the tree is the source of one of the 50 fundamental herbs in Chinese herbology.
       
      These herbs may be able to bind to serotonin and GABA receptors in the central nervous system that promote carbohydrate cravings‚ which may lessen the emotional eating urge and make maintaining a healthy‚ balanced diet less difficult.
