      Giddy Yoyo Mountain Salt Details

      • The composition of our blood plasma, lymphatic fluid, and extra-cellular fluid all mirror the chemical balance of pure ocean water.
      • Salt is not only critical to your life, but it is one of the basic elements of which your body is made.
      • Currently the ocean is full of microscopic plastic and chemicals and therefore so may be sea salt. Giddy Yoyo Salt does not come from the ocean and is a very clean, pure and mineral rich alternative to other less ideal salts.

The composition of our blood plasma, lymphatic fluid, and extra-cellular fluid all mirror the chemical balance of pure ocean water. Ocean water contains minerals such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, plus many trace elements such as iron, zinc, and manganese. The human body uses these minerals & trace elements in salt to create electrolytes, maintaining the internal ocean, which is vital to the proper functioning of every system in the body.

However, something to consider when ingesting ocean sea salt is plastic...yes plastic! Sea salt may very well be full of it, which is why it may be best to avoid eating it. The ocean is full of plastic – “a testament to humanity’s reliance on plastic and the failure to dispose of it properly”, as quoted by Carl Bialik of the Wall Street Journal (Google “The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”). The combination of intense sunlight and salt water deteriorates floating plastic and the chemicals that create it. This process, along with the help of ocean currents, creates microscopic particles of chemical plastic ingredients and voilà, the ocean becomes a plastic chemical soup! Evaporating seawater concentrates the plastic chemicals so even though you may not taste it, it’s there. Ingesting microscopic plastic is not the best ever…not even almost.

Natural salt contains over 80 minerals yet iodized table salt is mostly the chemical sodium chloride…and now some table salt companies are adding fluoride (yikes!). This “table salt”, the salt normally used in most homes and restaurants, is mined from the earth with bulldozers and heavy machinery often resulting in negative environmental impact. The salt is then iodized, bleached, and diluted with chemical anti-caking agents. FYI this is the ingredient list of a well known Iodized Table Salt: salt, yellow prussiate of soda, tricalcium phosphate, dextrose, potassium iodide, sodium bicarbonate…

Giddy Yoyo Salt is from a super selectively sourced area in the pristine Ecuadorian Andes Mountains (which was once submerged in the ocean way back when the ocean was pristine) far away from any agrichemical industry. No chemtrails are sprayed over Ecuadorian land ensuring an even more toxin free salt. In addition to sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, plus many trace elements, GY MOUNTAIN SALT contains sodium sulphate and calcium salts, which are minerals necessary to proper cellular function.

Local women rise early and carry stream water (each woman takes 60 to 70 liters of water) to pour into holes in the mountains called “candos” - these holes have been formed by natural and constant geologic changes. The water remains in these candos for hours and is then collected into buckets (it has now naturally absorbed copious amounts of salt), evaporated and stone ground into a grayish-white mass.

Giddy Yoyo Salt is as equally amazing for bathing as it is for cooking. Submerging in warm water relaxes the body and mind, dilates the pores allowing the body to absorb minerals and excrete toxins. Salt helps to stimulate and activate circulation, may help to reduce cellulite and purifies the skin. Giddy Yoyo Salt may help improve common irritations such as insect bites, minor rashes, calloused feet, as well as more serious skin conditions like athlete’s foot, eczema, and psoriasis.

Don’t be scared to salt your food to your pallet’s satiation… just be sure to use the best salt, Giddy Yoyo Mountain Salt!

Not good for use in shaker.

This is a salt that does not pour freely. It has an almost oily character and must be scooped from the bag with a spoon. I will use it up when cooking but it is not a good type for putting into a salt shaker and sprinkling. The price is high comparatively for what you get. It might be good to use as a bath soak.

        Nice Salt

I don't use salt often, but this is a nice salt. I would buy it again.
