    It's creatine. It works.

    Well, it's creatine monohydrate. It works. It's going to give you a bit more gas to squeeze out some more reps, or lift bigger, and you'll recover faster. This should be a staple in every athletes gym bag, as it's one of the few things in the fitness industry that is scientifically proven to do what it says it will, unlike a lot of the snake oil you'll find lining the shelves.

    Of course one of the upsides is also a downside: fluid retention. This is going to give you some extra padding for joint health, but you're definitely going to bloat. Of course the amount you do is dependent on muscle mass, so this is likely a non-issue since big lifters aren't too concerned about looking slim, and slim athletes don't have the muscle mass to notice a discernible difference. However, if you're a physique athlete, make sure you stop taking it at least 2 weeks before aesthetic based competitions.

    Also, somehow it's also a diuretic even though it makes you retain water. So, be prepared to pee a lot
