      Selenium is an essential trace mineral and functions as part of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione perioxidase.  It is bonded to the essential sulfur amino acid, methionine, in a naturally occuring form as found in the diet.  Selenium is found most abundantly in brazil nuts, organ meats, seafood, and wheat germ.

      As a dietary supplement, take NOW Selenium 200mcg (Yeast Free) one Vcap® daily, preferably with meals.

        NOW Selenium

        Until my adult daughter mentioned when I suggested slenium for her sleep issues, I had not noticed there even was an odour. However, I don't usually spend a lot of time betwixt bottle and mouth, so it does not bother me. Reasonably priced and I find it effective so I will continue to use it. There are no additional drawbacks with it.

        This is a must for thyroïd gland function

        Since I am taking this form of Selenium, which is active, my thyroïd gland is starting to function normally, finally! Selenium actually transform the T4 into T3, the active form of thyroxine (T4 is not active so your gland can not function normally and give you energy and normal metabolism). The price is also fabulous so it makes it easier to heal the thyroïd function. Thanks.
