Hibiscus Tea has been traditionally consumed by many cultures around the world as both a hot and cold beverage. It has been prized for its refreshingly tart and floral cranberry-like flavor. Different traditions use Hibiscus as a base to make unique infusions by combining hibiscus tea with ginger, lemon, clove, cinnamon and nutmeg. Hibiscus has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic Medicine as a beneficial tonic. It is a wonderful tea to incorporate into the daily diet, particularly for those with blood pressure issues.
Boil ½-2 tablespoons of Organic Traditions Hibiscus Tea Cut in 8-12 oz. of water depending on how strong you prefer your tea. Add more tea for a more robust flavor.
Enjoy the tea as is or add 1 teaspoon of Organic Traditions Vanilla powder. Grate fresh ginger or squeeze lemon into the tea to add more intensity of flavor.
Naturally sweeten the tea with ¼ - ½ teaspoon of Organic Traditions Stevia Powder, 1 teaspoon of Organic Traditions Coconut Palm Sugar or 1 teaspoon of Organic Traditions Yacon Gold™ Syrup.
Add some Organic Traditions Goji Berries, Longan Berries, Black or White Mulberries or Raisins to add a hint of natural sweetness.
Cool the tea to create a refreshing iced tea or use as a base liquid for smoothies or raw desserts.
