FAQ’s Regarding the Canada Post Strike

How is Vitamart shipping orders during the strike?

In preparation for the strike Vitamart has been testing out multiple non-Canada Post carriers with great success that are covered under our flat rate/free shipping options. Carriers include Fleet Optics, Intelcom, Apple Express, Purolator, UPS, among others. Your order will be shipped out with tracking, quickly and delivered on time with a quick and reliable non-Canada Post delivery service.

Have the delivery times changed?

These carriers have provided reliable and in most cases faster delivery times than Canada Post. Overall the service has been very reliable and we trust you will have a positive experience.

Are there any additional costs to this upgraded shipping service?

No. Free shipping on Canadian orders $79+ and $9.95 flat rate for orders under $79.

What if my package is in transit while the strike is going on?

Check your tracking link to see if it was shipped with Canada Post. If not, your package will be delivered as normal. If your package was shipped with Canada Post there unfortunately will be delays in your package arriving.

What do I do if I typically ship to PO Box and are about to place an order?

If you have not placed an order yet, be sure to update your shipping address to a CIVIC address (i.e. a home or business or a friend/family member's home) before you finalize your order.

What do I do if I have placed a PO Box order and it hasn't been shipped?

Please contact us with an alternate address and we will update it on our end and ship with a non-Canada Post carrier.

What do I do if I have placed a PO Box order, it has shipped and not yet delivered?

While these packages will be eventually delivered by Canada Post, they unfortunately will be delayed.

*The exception being if you have a Canada Post PO Box which no one has access to but Canada Post. If you have a PO Box CLICK HERE for details.
